Man Trip 2009

Recently, a few us got together and headed up to Matt Aardema's cabin in the Uintah Mountains for the ‘The Annual Man Trip, 2009.’ This "event" began as an annual overnight backpacking trip on a Friday night; somewhere far away from civilization, where cell phones were unnecessary added weight to a carefully packed backpack. Slowly it has evolved into a semi-annual, three-day trip (could very well become quarterly) to a cabin, fifty yards from a major highway, equipped with most of the amenities needed for lot’s of Halo, rock-band and plenty of Will Farell movies. (Oh and a lot of farting)

The last two winter sessions of the trip, we began to deviate – albeit slightly- from the usual routine of playing Xbox all day and night to spending some time outdoors in the surrounding winter beauty. We brought some sleds and tubes and found a hill nearby. Luckily, there were no serious injuries.

Below is the video: (Justin McFarland, LeRoy Montano, Cameron Tucker, Dave Prisbrey, Matt Aardema, Don McFarland and Bryan Smith)

Just one question, did your dad call while you were gone? ha, ha!

Hilarious! I love that you are all WAY too old to be doing that stuff, but you do anyway. Were you 'feeling it in the morning'?

Becka,

No, he didn't.. which was a first. I was waiting for the call the day I was leaving.

We're excited that you guys are moving up here!

Brandon,

Yes, we were all very sore. In fact my tailbone still hurts.

BTW, you're coming next time!

Seriously.. no serious injuries? Some of those runs are funniest home videos quality! I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Not sure who's in red but it cracked me up when he lands face down in the snow with his arms at his side
